Well, considering how much Buick sells for... It makes sense for GM to introduce a low-cost brand in china, since one does not exist.
They sold cheap Aveo style cars made by Daewoo under the Buick brand in addition to the more expensive cars like what we have here.
But they should have used Chevrolet or whatever their low-cost brand is in the US instead of creating a new one. Unless, of course, they know that what they make is going to be really bad cars and do not want to spoil their current brands.
