Valvoline does.....

Technically no. They state that it exceeds dexos 1 specifications. I do understand their reasoning behind not buying the license.

I use napa synthetic 5w30 in my silverado with no complaints. It is not a licensed dexos oil but is the same as valvoline and states it exceeds specifications.

At the top of page hit the Licensed Brands tab, then Dexos 1.

Big choice, and you won't find Valvoline. Never has been Dexos licensed.

You are correct, Valvoline has never been dexos licensed. However 3 of their oils do exceed dexos specs, they basically told GM to shove it and their products don't need the little green trademark logo on them.

We have a law enforcement fleet of tahoes that have the same engine. These vehicles use the cheapest bulk dino you can find. We've had zero issues and change out every 5,000 miles. This relates to around 10 to 15% on the OLM. There's not much more abuse you can put on these engines then we do and some of them are over 100,000 miles.
