just shot a friend of mines new 30-06 gibbs a3-04 which is a copy of the springfield a3-03. shooting some greek ball ammo of a bench at 300 yds it shoots a 3 inch group. he is wanting to shoot some match ammo and see what it does. it is a gibbs and cost 1000 bucks. also got to shoot another friends ar-10 in .308.at 300 yards it shot about a 5 inch group .. the club they belong to that i used to shoot at is finishing up there 1000 yd range, should be done some time this summer and will also have 900 and 800 yard firing lines. i used to have a 40x rem with a mcmillian barrell in .308 that shot a 3 inch group at 600 yds. wish i could still shoot some comp but iam way to old now. any body else familiar with this gibbs rifle?
