For the first time that I can remember. I am unable to find any grade of gas for less than $3 a gallon. Even at the discount stations. Truly a bummer.

That's some scary pices for Gas out there. Thank goodness I live in South Texas.
What nobody ever mentions is the income differential between CA, NY and the rest of the country. Rent, gas, groceries, etc are all sky high in NY, but the job I do in Dallas easily pays 2x-3x more in NYC. It's all relative.

Winston, you either have a short memory or gas is higher in San Diego. 2 years ago gas was $3.35 for regular around here.
$3.11 here in central calif. don't forget that we pay more state gas tax then most other states. now if they'd actually use it to maintain the roads...

but try buying a nice house in the outskirts so you don't have to drive more than 30-45 minutes....

I paid 2.53 a gallon when I fill up late last week, that was 87 from a BP station.
Really stinks that about 2 weeks prior we were paying 2.19 for the same gas at that station.

I agree!!! Yep...Living here in Buffalo,NY the tax's are outrageous,Government is corrupt,gas prices are rediculous,job opportunity is next to nothing here and being a homeowner You live day to day with VERY high utility bill's!!!

I know just how you feel. down here in Los Angeles the average price is now 3.20/gallon no matter what brand you like. The best advice for everyone is to keep your cars in tune and put a couple more pounds of air in your tires to max out the MPG. Of course go to a lighter weight oil if you can.

Nice! Restrict the right of personal movement so government has control of where you can go...
Gas is ~$2.70 here. A large chunk of that is taxes. I think they are blaming this price hike on lack of refining capacity.
