Oh! didn’t know that. ThanksNo but the spout sleeve fits just fine!
Some “laws” in life are not worth worrying about. Makes life alot easier not worrying if fuel is in an approved container or not.Because you have to take them to a gas station to fill them and it's a violation of several state and probably federal laws to pump fuel into an unapproved container.
Never store kerosene in a red can. It's easy to get confused and end up with gasoline in the heater.buy a gas can or two back during the winter for a kerosene heater for emergency use.

I just ripped the circled part of mine off and drilled a vent hole in the back. They come apart pretty easily…. Just don’t fill it too full or you’ll spill gas out the vent on your trip back home lol. View attachment 106829
bought one of those for my dad several years back... he didn't like it, and said it spilled more than anything else he tried. (even had the funnel as pictured)Eagle Type I cans are my favorite type of can, though you need the flexible spout version if you want to fill a car with one.
Those are the only CARB-approved cans I’ll buy.The only eco friendly can worth the money is the no-spill brand. That one seals nicely and pours easily.
Love my 5 gal Eagle can too. Should get a replacement spout for my 1 gal 2 cycle can though.Eagle Type I cans are my favorite type of can, though you need the flexible spout version if you want to fill a car with one.
