Imho depends on the co. Here are a few with “no questions asked” did not matter with fine print: Kohler, Moen, Delta (see a pattern), Lutron, Costco.
So if that mfg is like any of the above, at minimum a new unit is shipped. But it’s the “in home” that seems unknown.
Good luck cos should honor their warranties.
P.s. I spent $30 on a Moen tub spout that diverts for the shower, after strings of $12-$19 ones that drip very quickly. It’s been 4 years of use and no drip. I asked Moen on a call about a faucet is this covered by a lifetime warranty (often peripherals are excluded)? They said yes if it drips let us know and we’ll send you a new one. I said great just asking as it’s not dripping at this time. These are the cos we want to deal with. Kohler is the best of the 3 and super top notch.
