I'm installing a new (chain driven) Garage Door Opener and now that it's up.... I'm noticing the chain has a slight twist to it that starts about mid-point of the rail. I tried to take the twist out but I'm not having any luck. Is it normal for a chain that long to have a twist?

I have a Genie Screw drive opener and am unfamiliar with chain drives. I doubt there should be any chain twist. Whoever made your opener probably has an answer and explanation how to adjust?? Maybe if you used a string and a carpenters square you could see whats wrong?

Grab an adjustable wrench and grasp the chain and rotate where the chain is anchored to the lead. Rotate the chain a touch past aligned, then straighten. Do this when the door is closed.
