GAmalie Universal Synthetic ATF

As some of you may remember, I have been using the Wolfs Head Universal Synthetic ATF. Great stuff. Someone here once pointed out to me that this is the same ATF as the Amalie.

Visited my local repair garage today to talk about another matter and what do I see but a full pallet loaded with many cases of Amalie Universal Synthetic ATF. He uses this for all his transmission work and transmission flushes. Never has problems with it. I know I use it in place of the Mercon V in one of my cars, and when the day comes, will use it in place of the Motorcraft Premium Automatic Transmission Fluid in my other car. Good Stuff.

It is a Grp III at best.

And they say it is good for Type F?? That is a big sticking point with me.

Don't know the price of the Amalie however last spring, I purchased 8 qts of the Wolfs Head (same company) and it was $3.59 a quart at that time. In the early autumn, I again purchased 8 qts of the Wolfs Head, and the price had gone up to $3.89 a quart. Still less than the Motorcraft Mercon-V which was up OVER $4.00 a qt and much less than the Motorcraft Premium Automatic Transmission Fluid (used with the AWF21 Transmission) which was over $6.00 a qt.

I notice that neither the big box stores, or the national auto parts stores carry either one. Only the smaller "old fashoned" auto parts stores around here carry it. Was so surprised when I saw that the repair garage closest to me had it by the pallet.
