Hi Guys,

I did something stupid ... I was adding Chevron injector cleaner and I pushed that sealing silver foil inside a bit to make a hole instead of removing it ... I'm worried that small piece of that foil ended up in the tank ... I'm thinking if should worry and pull filter out ? its new BMW 328 ..

Thank's

You're just worried about it, or you actually saw a piece go in, and/or noticed a piece of the foil missing afterward? If it's just paranoia, I would forget about it unless the car's driveability changed noticeably. I completely understand this sort of paranoia, however. I hate those foil things, especially on stuff like brake fluid and Nutella.

if you are positive that a piece went in, you might consider it... The piece no matter what is pretty darn small compared to the strainer that will be at the tank, but still, i can see wanting to get rid of it. I wouldnt make a huge effort to do it immediately though... it can wait.

It probably is not on the inlet screen of the filter. It MAY go there when running [on/off] , but most likely is on the bottom of the tank.

Well, there's two things I'd never expected to be mentioned in the same sentence!
