Fuel Injector Cleaner = Knock Sensor code?

So I added a bottle of Lucas Fuel Injector cleaner/cylinder lube to my 2000 v6 camry
215k miles. Ive used other injector cleaners a couple times in the past
Maybe evey 5k or so. Anyway....this time about 60 miles later my check engine light comes on and its a knock sensor code. These are not easy to replace as you have to remove the intake and other stuff. Beyond my ability or desire to try.

Any thoughts if the injector cleaner can cause this? I figured i would use the gas and fill normally to see what happens. Costco 87 top tier they say.

This would happen to my 2001 LEXUS RX300 all the time. Every time I used a FSC, I would get a CEL, so I stopped using them.
This RX would also eat O2 & AF sensors and later on, the Knock Sensor(s) needed replacement.

Never heard of this or experienced it myself, and I regularly run fuel cleaners in my vehicles for many, many years, 33 to be exact. It could be more of a fuel problem than a cleaner. I have had bad gas throw a code before but not the knock sensor itself. I would run the tank out and try to stay with a Top Tier fuel station that has regular traffic, if you do not do so presently.
Edit, see you use Costco, maybe try a different brand or run 89 octane for a bit. Could be you got gas and the tanks were low and picked up some contaminants in the gas

A half bottle or so of regular old cheap ATF in the gas tank will help with the injectors. I don't know if its the oil in it or what but it will free up an injector really fast as long as is just sticking.

Fuel system additives can't directly affect the knock sensor because the knock sensor does not come into contact with the fuel system. The knock sensor is simply a microphone bolted to the outside of the engine.

Right, but it could be the flame burn (depending on dose no doubt) can change and the microphone is hearing something odd? the code isn't specified after all.

Charbaby seems to have had a similar thing happen, is twice still a coincidence? both on toyota v6 btw....

What is the specific code?

What size bottle?
Quart. Ive been doing it for years and it works. I originally got the idea from the owners manual of an old BMW I had. It said to hot soak the valves by sucking in transmission fluid through a vacuum line so I figured it would work in the fuel too. It doesn't take long to fix injector noise and it works as a cylinder lubricant.

How frequently do you dose your tank? ...as needed?
Just whenever I remember. When I was working and drivng a lot I used it all the time, plus tranny fluid was cheap then too. I even got a chance to see the results when I replaced a head gasket on a 300 thousand mile jeep 4.7 I gave away. The piston tops and valves had almost no carbon deposits and the catalytic converters were completely clean too.
