Using Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner or Gumout Regane Total Fuel System Cleaner AS DIRECTED (do NOT over do it) cannot hurt anything and it will clean up deposits. They may be very minor deposits but using either of those two products will keep those minor deposits from becoming more pronounced in the long run.
Make sure you use the high PEA concentrated products (30-50% PEA) and not the weaker products that have a similar name.

These treatments don't tend to fix anything in an engine that regularly receives a high detergent fuel. I might occasionally dump in a bottle of Pro-Gard or use a little bit of SI-1, but only if I fill up at some place that might not have a high detergent fuel.

Now I don't control where my wife fills up her Civic, so occasionally I'll add something. It may not even be necessarily, but I just feel like doing something every now and then.
