From Toyota to Stellantis.

After an incredible debacle with my daughter destroying a 2009 Venza that was her mothers daily driver, I was in the market for a car I could buy with cash at the worst possible time to be car shopping, 2 years ago.

I found an unmolested, slightly loved 2013 Fiat 500 Sport. It has the 1.4 N/A engine and Aisin auto transmission. I was surprised by this vehicle and so far it has been a reliable driver. I had heard all the negatives on the internet but that hasn't been true with my experience. 32 mpg without even trying, roomier inside than it appears, good performance, but not without its quirks. I don't know how long it will last but seems to be doing very well.

For some reason, folks that buy Fiats complain, but I have given it regular maintenance and done my part to extend it's life. Prior owners have garaged this thing and also done maintenance as well. Its all about the condition. This brand is built rather cheaply but if you are careful it will serve you well. Besides being a fun drive, the 2 door model has the best ergonomics and you can drive with the windows down without annoying wind noise found in most vehicles.

Anyway, congrats to the OP on his new Fiat. Take care of it and it will take care of you. I see you have the 4 door model with manual trans, congrats on the find.

From Toyota to Stellantis...and back to Toyota...or actually Honda.
I keep a pair of socks longer than I can keep a vehicle lol.
While scrolling through marketplace I found this Avalon. Lemme tell you, looks even better in person. It's LITERALLY like-new, despite being 21 years old and having 166k miles.
Price was too good to pass up, and wife is tired of big Honda Pilot and wants back into a sedan. So FIAT quickly found itself a new owner, and this Avalon followed us home. Wife and kids go in it, and my daily will be the Pilot for now.
