Frigidaire Ac showing E8 code

I have the same problem. Every one hour the unit will stop cooling and be on fan only mode. Apparently this behavior is to protect the unit against excessively high temperatures according to the error code table provided in some places. Will contact service to see what I should do. I bought my AC 3 days ago.
I'd guess you have some airflow blocked. On the hot side air comes in the sides and exhausts out the rear.
