FrankenOil OCI lenght.

Hello BITOG.

I would like a public consensus on how long I should run the following FrankenMix on my Jeep with 1o4,ooo miles on it. I have 1 qt each of the following running on a Fram.

5-5o Castrol Synteq
5-5o Castrol Synteq
15-5o Mobil 1
5-2o PP
O-4o Mobil 1

The reason I chose the Fram was incase I needed to sacrifice it for a short OCI, I wouldn't lose anything major. I thank you in advance.

I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't run it for 5-7k.

I would run it for 5k and get a used oil analysis just for shicks and giggles. I would swap the Fram for a Napa Gold (Wix) filter but that's just me.

Those are tough oils - that would EASILY go 10-12k miles!

People on here won't run a syn past 5-7k miles - I just sent off a sample of 5w30 conventional with 8,881 miles on it!

Folks on here are WAY too conservative!

Sounds like a stout "6W-42" FrankenSynth... I think your Fram is the weakest link in an extended OCI.

Call me anal, but I'd be relutant to run this mix of leftovers for very long.
Probably 4-5K.
It would be intersting to see a used oil analysis after your run of this collection, however.

Agreed. Use normally with confidence!

I Thank you for the calculations IntegraVT, and yeah guy, sounds 'stout' indeed; too stout for the upcoming Jersey winter ?!? I tend to think so, but I'm still a newbie.
