Well I changed my oil and took off the Fram Ultra. I didn't really need to as it was only on for like 1500 miles if that and I put on a K&N that was part of a free special anways....

However I cut the Fram Ultra Open and I must say I'm very very Impressed!

I didn't take pics b.c there are so many pics of the Fram Ultra here, however if you want them I can take a few pics

The Filter element with Metal End Caps is very well made and the filter media is very thick and I have to admit the filter did clean up b/c it was dirty. Probably due to the fact that I always put Marvel Mystery Oil in the Oil for the last 500 nukes. However the filter is very impressive. It has a seal on the bypass and the filter is just so strong.

It sorta reminds me of a NAPA Platinum, however I must say the filter element seems to be better.

Also the price, only 8$, now that is a deal.....

From now on I will get Fram Ultra, unless there is a sale on K&N or NAPA PLAT..

However I wasnt expecthing it to be so well made.

I have cut open FRAM Extra Gaurd, and Fram High Milage and Fram Tough Gaurd and I mustsay this filter is just way ahead of them.

Great Job Fram , and Thank to the members here for telling me how good they were b.c I probably never would of tried one.

If you want pics let me know.. If you want to see how much DIRT this filter caught in less then 1500 miles

Always listen to the collective brain trust of the BITOG members.

The Fram Ultra is my preferred oil filter. Seriously thinking of using over two 6.5 oil changes in my Nissan Altima using Kendall Full Syn. It's readily available and from BITOG seems well made.

I got a case of Ultra's for a real cheap price with a coupon ($3 a piece) will be using them for several years to come.

yea what made you change the oil so soon? also why a k&n if on sale? [/quote

No the oil had like 6K miles on it.

I first had a Honda OEM filter then changed to a Fram Ultra for the heck of it.

I was going to leave the Fram Ultra in but I had the K and N from a special from AAP

Here are the pics, Notice how dirty it is for just being on for 1500 miles

Great Oil filter and made so well.

Other fram Oil Filters will just fall apart after you get them out of the can, but the ADBV and the bypass stayed on... and the filter media is so fluffy and has a screen backing.

Very good and the price no other filter comes close IMO

Where do you get coupons to buy Fram Ultra filters for $3?
