From member SubieRubyRoo and off of his 2006 Honda Odyssey van. Said it had 7,500 Miles on oil and I think 180K total miles on vehicle. Looks good I say and I dont know what oil he used but probably Pennzoil Ultra Platium 0w20 or 5w20 I'd wager

Johnny and WellOiled: you gentlemen are welcome.

Tomorrow, I'll change the wheels on the Longacre closer so I can cut chris' (SubieRubyRoo) Subaru filter

I don't believe so as its synthetic media and it's kinda thick. Hope this helps.

Not bad, Adam. Little bit of stuff in the bottom but I believe there's still some being cleaned out since the van was on conventional it's first 135k. It's had two pints of Kreen since 135k, last one was just before this 7.5k, so that may be part of the stuff. If not, well, at 180k it's earned the right to make a little particulate... lol.

This will be my last personal filter from the Odyssey, as it has been handed down to our oldest son who is expecting his third kid in about a month, but since the van's got the Baldwin B7243 on it now, I will "invite him over" to show him how to do the oil change and transmission fluid and steal the Baldwin back for dissection. It's got Pennzoil Ultra Platium 5w20 in it right now, this XG3593A had a jug of Castrol's 5w30 A3/B4 juice in it.

Oil doesn't look bad for 7500 miles ... seen a lot worse than that.

Dave, because of work constraints and partly lack of motivation, the filter sat in a ziplock baggie for probably 2-2.5 months. Previous used oil analysis have shown no concerns with wear or other fluids in the oil. There was no condensation in the oil or under the fill cap when this OCI was performed.

Yeah the filter looks very good for 7500 miles. Oil is a bit dirty but RubyRoo explained that.
Are the Ultras rated for 15,000 miles? I would probably change it at 7500 as well, I am just curious about their "extended performance" rating.

Ultra is advertised as a 20,000 mile filter. It used to be 15,000.

It does have the caveat of following manufacturers suggested interval.
