I did a search and there isn't a lot of info on these...

What does everyone think of FRAM TG air filters? Are there any compelling reasons to use one over, say, a WIX or Purolator? Any major reasons to NOT use one?

I dont see any reason to use one over a cheaper regular orange box Fram filter. They are built a little heavier duty but I dont like the oiled part of them.

I would stick with Wix but before the WIX I used a regular FRAM and was not overly impressed with the gas mileage or performance. Now whether it protected my engine better with issues like fuel dilution I have no idea but other then doing a UOA, I see no quantifiable reason to use FRAM or even FRAM TG over Wix based on my observation and no UOA..

Another question would be is there a better filter then Wix out there at roughly the same or similar price?!

Terry has often recommended Honda owners use Fram air filters to combat fuel dilution. Why? No one knows for sure other than Terry.

My guess is the Fram filters have better flow and therefore lean out the mixture a bit. Whatever it is, it apparently works.

But if a K&N flows less than 1% better than the OEM filter, that would be less than a percent better flow making a big difference.
