Fram tough guard or titanium for 5-7k OCI?

Tough Guard all day long.

Walmart has dropped the price of the Fram Tough Guard from $7.17 to $6.44, a $.73 reduction (10%) that makes it an even greater value. I manage the Oil Filter Value Analysis database and the Tough Guard moved to the #1 position for all around performance (99% efficiency @ 20 microns for 15,000 miles) and price.

For comparison the Titanium and Tough Guard are the same at 99% at 20 microns. The only performance difference is the Titanium is rated to 20,000 miles versus 15,000. The Titanium sells for $12.49, $6.05 more than a Tough Guard.

With a 5-7K OCI, the Tough Guard is a great value.

If only 5000 miles I'm going with this

Tough Guard goes on my G35 and Civic. While the FU might be better on paper, I only go 6-7k miles on oil changes so it's unnecessary in my opinion.

5-7,000 miles for me gets an Orange Can Fram or a regular Supertech, depends on internal construction of the Supertech.
I like the ST9688 filter design (metal end caps, regular adv, e-core center tube), but can't stand the ST2 construction (combo valves are a no go for me).
