This filter and Fram synthetic oil 0w20 was off friends 19’ Chevrolet Euinox FWD. had 8,600 miles on it as I helped him do last oil change. Date code smeared so if anyone can decipher it: Thank You

Put another Fram Titanium he supplied and more Fram Synthetic 0w20 in and on. 41,223 on odometer. We didn’t look at OLM, he reset it though. So, today I have went thru 9 pairs rubber gloves cutting the Fram filters open. They are still made well IMO. I used pliers to seperate end caps.

Thank you for all the cut and posts. They're entertainng to see.

Personally wouldnt pay the extra gripping surface tax and would rather get the ultra at wally's. But it's a solid filter.

Well, I personally hat China Mart so AAP with their oil+filter bundles work. Or I go to Rural King.

I assume this is the NG Ultra since I didn’t see any metal screen. Thanks for your efforts. Interesting filter since it’s basically the same as the XG 10060 I run on my truck only different bypass valve setting. Thanks again.

This filter is wire backed. I didn’t take pics of the wire screen once I laid media on old towel is all. Very good filter I say 🍻🇺🇸🇨🇦

This AAP Titanium = OG Ultra with grip and "special" inlet holes. Can't make out date code, but no doubt before FB Ultra media change. Iirc already seen anecdote where Titanium media now same as new Ultra. Some here opined that they thought topic filter would stay the same. I never thought FB was going to keep around the tooling and materials (two ply full synthetic media) for a 'made for' AAP OF.

Unsurprisingly, this one looks good.

Thanks for c&p.

Sayjac: do we know that Fram Titaniums made recently or since First Brands took over are still using wire backing? Thank You kindly sir 👍🇺🇸🍻

Back in February, member Ignatius said he saw new Titanium 'without' the wire backing, which would mean 2 ply full synthetic media gone too. That being true, those left with wire backing would be older stock still on shelf. As noted previous post, that would make sense to me.

ZeeOSix also posted pic of Titanium box that no longer said wire backed, but rather perfect seal gasket instead, like the new Ultra.
