FRAM TG 8316 new filters: date code help?

So, got 2 FRAM TG-8316 filters today at Rural King. Tons of stock also as in two rows deep.


Anyone please help me decipher date code. Much thanks and god bless you all 🇺🇸🇨🇦

Hi Adam, I think they are:

-April 22nd, 2015
-January 22nd, 2016

Maybe someone else can confirm. I just went and checked my PH8316's from my WM clearance stash and it appears they're from 2018 😲

Just in case somebody doesn't understand the Fram date code.

This is the 112th day of 2015. The "5" represents 2015, and "112" represents the 112th day. The "5" could also mean 2005, but they can't be that old.

Focus on 5112.

This is the 22nd day of 2016. The "6" represents 2016, and "022" represents the 22nd day.

Focus on 6022.

Use a Julian date converter to find out exactly what day of the year the date code represents.
