AC Delco - Oil Filter Date Code Help

Hey guys, Can anyone help me decipher the date codes on the two filters below: 1) AC Delco PF59 with 5 holes in the baseplate. Date code is 2400203 2) AC Delco PF59 with 6 holes in the baseplate. Date code is 28FF2 I bought them both on clearance - I don't really plan to use them, bought more as a novelty since they've been discontinued for some time. Thanks in advance for the help!

Anybody??? I wonder if '2400203' could mean either 240th day of 2002, or 2nd day of 2003, or 203rd day of 2000. I have no idea what '28FF2' means, but I'm pretty sure this filter was made sometime after the first, but obviously before the PF59 was discontinued... that presumably puts it in the 2001-2006 range?

Similar thread ... Here <--- Seems like the format is all over the place on AC Delco filters. Possible they could have changed formats over the years.

In my defense, my thread was started first. I searched every online resource that Google pointed me to when researching this (BITOG sources included), and couldn't find anything on AC Delco filters using the date code format on my filters.
