All I see stamped on the bottom is 6C on #4386 and 2C on the #6300. The #4386 will run 15,0000mi or less and 6,000 or less on the 6300. So what do the codes mean? Do I Still want to use the filters? Appreciate the opinions. Should I start anew thread? There are scan codes on the side.

Did you get a case with the original box? Maybe the date code is on there? I don't think the FPS filters have been around long, imagine they're not over a year or two old?

The code on the ultra is on the side of the can, finely engraved, hard to see. I only ask because I bought a few ultras online this year, from a well known retailer, and the filters are from 2012. So I was wondering about these ebay filters. I may just donate all my old ones and get fresher ones. My code starts with A2, the 2 means 2012 according to other threads.

My code:

It could be under the label too.

Okay the first one I looked at must of been under their label. The #4386 has code A32573, all 6 were in their box and the 6 were in a box probably from Fram. The(6)#6300 with code A32342 are in their box and packed on the(2)sides of the #4386 from an address in Pennsylvania. So they were made about mid 2013. They look good visually. Any cons-concerns in using these filters. Why would one want fresher ones? I remember Fram went from 10,000to 15,000mi?

^^^ They were all made later 2013, and should be fine to use. Just be sure to store then inside where it's not wet and humid.
