Fram Pro Series Synthetic = Fram Ultra?

Yes, he does. I had to look for the heck of it. I'd come out ahead, even factoring in exchange and shipping, than I would by purchasing from Canadian Tire or Walmart, and by a good bit if either of them aren't on special.

If the regular "Pro" really is an e-core design, I wonder if it is a completely new filter. With a 99% rating, I don't think this is a lowly Champ e-core with a Fram sticker (re: the bill of goods they send to Walmart TLEs).

More information is needed.

Surely some of you are old enough to remember Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.

This is Verrry Interesting !

Yep, no need to wait for specials or mail-in rebates. Save time, fuel and shipped to your home.

Where are you finding the 99% figure? Jay has indicated that the standard "Pro" filter has a 92% rating.

On the link that Bottom Feeder posted:

It's possible they've now consolidated the line and eliminated the previous orange, base model "Pro" filter. Jay's previous statement from last year indicated there were three tiers:

The white filter is a Tough Guard internally with silicone ADV, 99% efficiency and 10k OCI.
The gold filter is a FRAM Ultra inside, silicone ADV, 99% efficiency and 15K OCI.

^^^ Sounds like they took the base Pro model (eCore design) and put the more efficient media in it and got rid of the Pro Plus. The latest link doesn't show the "Pro Plus", but shows the "Pro" having the 99% efficiency.

They are both the same, other than the texture grip

Was about to get the slick version today - but spotted 6 pack of actual XG10575's for $34+free shipping ...

Has anyone seen a Pro Series Synthetic cut open and compared with an Ultra? I've heard they actually look different, with different media.
