I agree the Fram bashing gets outta hand sometimes, but here's my bottom line; why buy a Fram filter when you can buy better ones for the same, or less money? It isn't like Fram is the only filter available....

What is wrong with this particular PH6017A though? What do other motorcycle filters have that is better?

Wait, WHAT? I'd be having a "discussion" with them about that!

They are...just stay away from the Frams...it isn't necessary to buy them...

Are you referring to Fram OCOD or all Frams? This Fram motorcycle filter appears different from a typical Fram OCOD that gets bad rep.

And yes, I would not intentionally go out of my way to buy Fram. Right now I'm running Wix on the bike.

I'd say just stay away from ALL Frams...there's no reason to buy any of them...

I just ordered and received my oil filter adapter piece,so that i dont have to run those oddball size filters like the ph6018 with 20mmx1.00mm size.or something like that.

I'm certain that there are numerous participants who use Fram filters, myself included, who'd really appreciate the results of your tests.

Holding the 2sise by side, the Korean one was stiff and well built, as we're the made in USA one, the Chinese one was thinner in its material and could be very easily squeezed. It's not something I would want with a lot of pressure on it, as it seems it would collapse very easily. Hold the two side by side and you'll understand.

I have the exact same filter on my Triumph...works great. But I got mine for $5.97 at WalMart. I only bought one and then found the Purolator Black MC filters on Amazon for $4so I bought several. But the Fram is fine. My Lexus runs a canister filter with glue and no end caps. Never a problem.
