I had a Fram (yeah, I know) spin-on bypass filter on my car. I could tell that it made some difference based on blotter tests but not really that much. I cut it apart yesterday only to find that it is what appears to be a perfectly ordinary pleated paper filter with a flow restrictor on the output side. I was actually expection to find something like the inside like an Amsoil. Live and learn, I guess. Just thought everybody would like to know. I've gone over to my modified System one with the TP element and already see an improvement.
