This filter came out of my Freightliner truck. The filter resides inside the power steering tank submerged in fluid. What is interesting about this filter is that the fluid comes into the filter through the baseplate (both big and small holes), gets filtered and then comes out through the holes in the dome. Got replaced with a filter from the dealership, either Baldwin or Luber Finer, and some Valvoline Dexron III ATF.

The filter got thrown in a bucket and disappeared for about a year. There was a bunch of water in the bucket hence the rust and the debris on the dome. The media was very tough break.

Decided to cut it open, maybe someone will enjoy the uniqueness of this filter.

That is an interesting filter. Did it show where it was made? Looks to be of excellent quality. Thanks
