In the aisle in Wal Mart and the tech told me the Rhino grip is not the one they will use. The tech let me see
that they are only replacing the paper only. What is going on? Is this the new way to do the change? Thank You.
P.S. the charge $55 with Penzoil Full Synthetic. I am nervous, Thank you

What brand car/model/year/engine? If it one that uses a bare filter cartridge inside a housing that is part of the engine, that statement would make sense.

Only the cartridge filters let you change the "paper" only.

And I've never heard anyone call the Fram textured coating "Rhino Grip." Isn't that the stuff they spray in truck beds?

Appears some may have successfully decoded your post.;) 'Seems' like your car uses a cartridge filter, not the more common spin on/canister type. If so the "paper" type would be correct. As queried above more info including vehicle year, make, model and engine would be helpful.

As an aside, If I was going to let the ACC/TLE do my oil change (very unlikely), I'd bring my own spin on filter. I asked the WM TLE/ACC check out person once and she said a filter delete with small credit can be done. The price for Pennzoil synthetic oil change, not bad. Decent.
