FRAM Force FF7317 (Cut Open)

I have for your amusement a cut open FRAM Force FF7317 that was in service for 2K miles in my 2025 Nissan Frontier using Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W-30. Has 54 pleats with no noted rips or tears of the media that seems well bonded to the fiber end caps. Dome end leaf spring seems pretty well bonded with the fiber end cap and pass a light test for the edges. Overall, no complaints with it.

Replaced with a FRAM Drive FD6607 and Quaker State Ultimate Protection 5W-30.

Not necessarily. Have a few of them picked up from the recent clearance sale but will mix it up with some others over time.

No, was made August 10th, 2024 if I decoded the date code correctly. FRAM Force line seems to be a Advance Auto only thing that has only been around a few recent years and just recently been stopped and clearance out.

Looks like a Fram Extra Guard with texture can. With its fiber endcaps, better chance bypass piece seal area sealed vs the unused Champ Labs Fram Drive 6607 I recently cut open. Fwiw, latter failed flashlight test. Filter looks fine.

Yeah, I’m gonna grab a Fram TG for my 5.3L and add some EC30. I have OG Titanium’s - but, like conventional pleats for observation behind the cleaners …

The Force is strong on that one, looks like a powder coat type of paint applied to a Extra Guard.
