20k in 6 months

If you do that kind of driving, you should get 20k oil like Super Tech Advanced 20k or some other EP synthetic oil (Mobil 1 Extended Performance, Castrol Edge Gold, etc)

Did you need to add any make-up oil during any OCI? And what did you replace it with?

Can you measure the media cartridge length from endcap to endcap with a measure tape?
Filter looks good for 20K miles was expecting it to be a bit more loaded on the media. Car is one heck of a highway beast to rack up that many miles in 6 months. Thanks for the pics.

Sorry it took so long everyone. This was the first filter I'd ever removed the media from, so the cuts are not as clean as I'd have liked. Also, that mesh is tough and hard to cut through. I don't own a vice to squeeze the oil out, so I folded the media and rolled over it with my toolbox a few times. I did not see any shiny debris on the media or my glove during/after. The filter media and mesh measured 35".

Yeah, I've heard those can be a pain to cut. I'll be doing a wire backed filter too eventually. I think the second photo really looks black. Is that the case? Is it real black like the picture shows. It does look like it got loaded up pretty good. This is good stuff thanks
