Even from fram themselves favor tough guard design over the ultra.try gluing metal to fiber then send a fair amount of oil pressure in the glue area.I tend to like the no endcap glued media (a oa Toyota or Honda,is it better?i don't know ,but I all use the Japan car of the past,they rarely chose a solution because it isn't better then the other idea,so I all assume glue end (a LA Japanese is probably the better solution for oil pump longevity
