Looks like quite a few ripples on that leaf spring
Good bit excess glue but nowhere near the level of Motorcraft

they’re a shadow, you can’t feel it when rubbing your fingernail over it. this one must have been produced right as the die was wearing out

Ok…..but looks just like the one I cut up a while back. It failed the light test as well.

Amsoil gets that red tint too. I wonder if it’s from cleaning varnish?

Could be part of it, but many times its there right out of the bottle.

When I ran Mobil 1 full synthetic in a VQ35, the oil would come out reddish looking. Figured it was cleaning up some varnish. Didn't see that with other oils used in that engine.
