It IS their history to be honest. I've used Mobil 1 Extended Performance for decades with no complaints.

just because it hasn’t blown up doesn’t mean there isn't issues. i urge you to look outside of the history and educate yourself.
There are many people that have used Fram orange cans without complaints as well? Use whatever works for you. He has UOA to back it up.

History changes pretty fast in the oil filter world.
You must have missed the hay days of the OG Fram Ultra and Titanium.
Good choice if you don't really care about efficiency ... and some don't which is fine. "Reputation" of a product can be either good or bad depending on what direction the product goes after that reputation was created.

I'm not so active these days to check the used oil analysis section of the forums but I found it, thanks.
With the ISO Cleanliness Code reading at 22/21/18 doesn't seem so impressive for a filter that is rated for 25K miles. WearCheck is noting the particle contamination numbers are at abnormal levels across the entire range of micron size.
This probably aligns with the poor leaf spring sealing everyone been talking about lately here.
I had a Donaldson that had a minor pleat defect on the second half of a 10,600 mile run that came out more cleaner at 19/18/15 Of course we're comparing apples to oranges since this is overall a different engine.
Originally I was running the FE3600 with a 360 degree magnetic coverage with base plate SMCO Magnets in hopes to get it to 10K for sampling but ended sooner due to the car getting rear ended to a total loss. Unfortunately its gonna have to wait for a long while until I'm done with the other filters to re-run the setup again.
I do have an OG FS3600 currently on, going with a similar setup with the magnets. Been so busy with other things that I'll likely sample it at 10K instead of planned 5K since I'm far past 6K miles now.

What was the mileage on that OCI? If the leaf spring was a decent leaker, the oil cleanliness is going to get worse as the OCI is increased compared to if it wasn't leaking dirty oil past the media.
I believe he said 12k oci with HPL. I’m also wondering if this is a good example of a leaky Endurance? Admittedly I’m not familiar with particle count interpretation.

admittedly this 5.0 burns oil like no tomorrow, this is the last one in the fleet. the other 2 we had couldn’t hold oil level for a week. this one burns about 4 quarts over 12k. oil was always changed at 6k previously with OTS oil and the HPL Engine Cleaner run didn’t produce much in the filter. the new coyotes just didn’t work well for us. gorgeous trucks with a very nice feature set when compared to the chevrolet work trucks. gobs of power too.

Yes, I don't care much about splitting hairs on efficiency. I want a filter that can perform long term and perform well. I am a Mobil 1 fanboy from waaayyy back when.
Thier EP products keep my cars going hundreds of thousands of miles issue free.
Nothing wrong with Mobil 1 especially the EP line! If the louvers are open on the Boss and your happy with the efficiency and price that’s a winning combination imo.
No doubt. I've never seen any issue with the cartridge Frams I've run. Their efficiency is tops. Even the plain Jane Extra Guard beats the snot out of most filters in terms of efficiency.
I see nothing wrong with this cutaway Fram. From just looking at it, it appears to have done its job just fine. I run the Endurance on my Vette, but not for more than 5k. That's a pretty easy life for it.
There are some fantastic oils out there to choose from. Great oil filters too.
I choose my particular combo to get quality 7k mile intervals. I've had 2-3 times a coolant line blow and the car briefly overheats. I believe that oil saved me with not a thing wrong after changing the oil immediately after overheating again. So I have some extra miles I can safely put on before changing and in the mean time I have quality detergents and lubrication
Those always come out looking good from my Jeeps, too. (cartridge). But I have seen 1 ppm more insolubles consistently compared to the Fram XG in the Pentastars, when I've done the used oil analysis. Not a big deal. I bought 12 to 14 of the Mobil 1 filters on clearance at Walmart 5 or 6 years ago for $3 each. I think I have one left. They've served well.
