I’ve used and cut open Fram car filters. I’ll pass on the diesel application and stick to Donaldson, Fleetguard, or Baldwin for my Cummins.
Years ago I had an old Peterbilt. I acquired another parts one.. The parts truck had a 350 big cam Cummins in it and that engine had 2 giant Fram oil filters on it.

I never realized Fram made em that big .

I went to Walmart yesterday and saw it as well. I was going to purchase some Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy and a TG7317 for the Honda. It was listed on Rollback for 24.99 for 5qt. When I got to the store, the shelf listed it on rollback for 27.99, and the Walmart website said the same. When I got back home it said 24.99 🤣

I didn’t get pictures unfortunately but the TG filters on the shelf looked like they had moisture on the bypass, but no rust. I also saw one with louvers, and two with holes. All were made in China.

Thanks for the C&P.

That's not moisture on the bypass, it's some form of assembly/storage oil, I have a few 20 year old HP-1's and they still have the oily substance on the valves.

Well, First Brands does own Luber-Finer, which was their HD brand, and supposedly Detroit Diesel did have Fram make their filters for the 2-stroke and S40/50/60 before Mercedes/Daimler ownership.

I’d run this if Motorcraft or Fleetguard wasn’t available if I had a PSD or Cummins ISB/B6.7 powered F-Series or Ram.
