This FRAM CORE filter was off my brother in laws new to him 10' Nissan Altima with 4cylinder engine. Had whatever bulk Wal Mart uses for oil changes and this filter for 6,xxx miles. Looks so/so I'd say. Note the silicone ADBV. Put a fram HM 6607 I scored this morning at another Wal Mart for 75 cents and some ST HM 5w30 he brought.

The pleats aren't looking the greatest, but apparently no torn media so that's good. Louvers look good. Thanks car51 for the C&P.

Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it, but definitely not an extended OCI filter. Filter pleats seems kinda short even considering the compact outer dimensions of the filter and the pleats seem quite generously spaced. I'd definitely add a few more cents and get a better filter if I was trying longer OCI's.

More proof that an entry-level filter and cheap dino oil can get you to +200K miles.

Reminds of George S. Patton quote, "p*ss-soaked paper bag".

At least the blended media is not tearing.

I didn't think anyone could screw up one of these compact 6607/14612 size filters.

That FRAM looks awful.

I'm keeping my son's Mazda on a steady diet of WIX/NAPA Gold with an occasional Bosch Distance Plus.

Oh well. Hard to pass up a FRAM HM 6607 for 75cents. Even nabbed last two FRAM HM 3600 filters for $1 each

Barely.

It's a deal in my book as I was NOT paying $5 for any Bosch Distance + filter

That filter held the line.. Looks like it put up a good fight.

Thanks for the C&P Car51, always great C&P's!

Ugly pleats for sure but it did the job just fine. I would use those all day long for .75, Thanks for the C&P!
