any of you guys have some info on this?? i am running Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 5qts and 1qt Pennzoil Platinum 10w30. this is my first run with Pennzoil Platinum i ran out of 2 years worth of Valvoline SynPower.. now back to the filter. i had a gift certy for walmart and all they carry is fram no supertech at this store for some reason. anyway i figured i would run 7500 miles on the run of Pennzoil Platinum but i am curious on how the fram 10k filter is. i do not buy fram anything but thats all they had i picked what i thought would be the best they had for fram.. any opinions or info?? thanks

Just dont get the one loaded with "teflon". +1 on the e-guard. Acura, Honda and subaru use fram (honeywell) as their oem service parts in NA.

I am running it right now on my wife's RX330 (normally use Mobil 1 or K&N), not sure it will answer any questions, but I plan to get a used oil analysis at the 10,000 mile mark.

Extra Guard + Tough Guard = Cardboard endcapped, squishable cheap, worst filters on the market.

Extended Guard= A decent filter, but I would get a Pureone first.

that is my normal product but they had the road blocked that went to advance auto.. so i had to stick with fram.. glad i picked the better one

I dunno. The Extended Guard seems every bit as beefy as the Pureone and has thicker media to boot. Pureone's cheaper, though.

XG Should be alright. I don't like to run any filter that long. Maybe an Amsoil EaO. My 2 cents.

i dont go over 7k to 7.5k on any oil change period. thats how long the filter will be in there for

BITOG ruined me. I used and was happy with Fram filters for 40+ years. Sold cars with 127,000 to 195,000 miles without any oil related issues, and now you tell me they are junk?

haha welcome to bitog where you will learn a lot and you will also increase your paranoia about oil and etc.
