My Ford F-150 touch screen is pretty much unresponsive when touch . I heard On these 09-14 F150 is pretty common .
All button work . Just can’t touch . Is there an ok button Can press instead touch the screen ?

any quick fix on these ?

Sounds like the screen in our '14 Fusion. From day 1, you had to press pretty firmly so I think it's just how they are. I swapped it all out for a Sync3 system which uses a more standard "touch".

You have to replace the "APIM". This is the infotainment "brain" and you can go with a navigation or non-navigation unit. Obviously navigation costs (substantially) more. You want one from a 2017 or newer Ford. You can use APIMs from various other Fords, it doesn't have to be an F-150. You also have to replace the 8" screen with a Sync 3 version. For the screen, you have to get one from a suitable vehicle. Obviously an F-150 will work but other vehicles will to. Ford has "flush" mount screens or "recessed" mount. I don't know what an F-150 uses but it has to match. Lastly, you should replace the USB hub. This is mandatory if you use an Apple device and want to use Apple CarPlay. It's not mandatory if you use Android (and Android Auto) but the system will complain every time saying the hub isn't compatible (it doesn't know nor care at start-up if you're using Apple or Android). Lastly, you have to add a different GPS antenna.

I went non-navigation as we would use Apple Carplay, i.e. Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps. Spent $215. I got very lucky with that price. Generally speaking, you're gonna spend $100-150 (APIM), $100 (8" screen), and about $75 in the other misc parts. I bought the APIM and screen from a salvage yard. Got them out of a 2020 Fusion. The other bits I bought new from Amazon, eBay, etc. There may be some "programming" with FORScan required but it's NOT difficult. You can pay some folks to do this too.

You can also buy ready-to-install complete kits with everything but they'll run you $800+.

Oh dam . Sound rough . I might not going to this round

I heard there an software Update using usb that fix these issue . Is that true

The physical installation is not hard at all. You're literally swapping identical pieces using the same fasteners, in the same holes, etc. It's just the hardware internals that were changed. I understand if it's not something you are interested in doing though.

What version is your Sync 2 ? I don't see software resolving hardware issues though... You can try going to https://owners.ford.com/ and see what it tells you.
