Just finished having the Beat Sonic CarPlay S Connect interface installed in my 2015 Lexus GS350. Lexus/Toyota seems to have come to the CarPlay game a bit later than other manufacturers. Nice to finally feel like the technology of my car is up to date. So far the transition is seamless. A long press of the map button switches from native mode to CarPlay. If left in CarPlay mode when the car is turned off, it starts in CarPlay. Boot up appears factory.

Pros:
- Appears factory
- Works as well as a factory installation. My wife’s Mercedes has CarPlay from the factory and I can discern no difference.
- All my streaming apps work fine. Works both wired and wireless through Bluetooth. Sound quality is equal to the native audio.
- Phone works through the factory microphone and speakers. Audio quality is the same.
- Resolution is excellent. Same as factory. (This pic really doesn’t do it justice.)

Cons:
- Still occupies only the left 2/3 of the screen. Same as factory.
- Cost. A bit steep but worth it.

Excellent. I was eyeing the off-brand offerings for this when I had a 14 GS and when I was considering a 15 RXh. I’d be ok with the 2/3 since you can use that 1/3 for useful driving-related functions. I think that’s pretty nice!
