I hope someone can help with Torsion bar numbers.
99 Ford Expedition AWD non self leveling.
Original bars have 585 L and 585 R stamped on the front of the bar where it goes into the control arm.
The new ones have 360 R on one and 486 R on the other.
Part numbers are correct for left and right.
The 360 is right side the 486 is left but the arrow is going the wrong way, does this get reversed and put into the key side?
Both hex ends are identical so the bar can go in either way.
On the key side of the bars there are markings UM 360 and UM 486 what do these numbers mean?
Ford dealer claims these are the only bars available for this truck, there is no other option listed.
I just wonder if one bar is weaker than the other and the truck will ride softer on one front wheel.
The part numbers from the new bars are…
Left F75Z-5B327-AM
Right F75Z-5B326-AM
TIA
