LTD II was a Fairmonty-thing on a unibody fox body, like a Mustang. You had your choice of the Pinto 2.3, 3.8 V6, 200-inline 6, and 302 V8 with two oil drain plugs to fit the pan over the crossmember.

Those are pretty cool because all the Fox Body suspension parts bolt right up. There are a few rolling around here with full Maximum Motorsports suspensions on them. My friend has an LTD of that vintage with a turbo 4.8L Ls engine putting almost 700+hp to the wheels. The only problems are breaking loose at 80, and the rear doors and trunk no longer close.

LTD II was the late 70's re-do of the Torino.
The Fox body LTD was merely labeled LTD.
