I have a Ranger and driven a bunch.
The problem(s) are:
-The automatic - it is inherently inefficient, but really needs to be driven with minimal throttle in 5th gear lockup
- Manual version with this engine and driver who knows what they are doing can get 30
-It is a brick -over 65mph mpg declines a lot
