Been doing yearly PTU fluid service on the wife’s 2014 Explorer Sport since we picked it up. This is the third one, 13 months and 14k miles since it was done last. Always amsoil severe gear 75w140. Always comes out a viscous metallic grey. All 18oz 
One thing I’m stumped on, though. The vent has a gore cap with a membrane barrier which I can’t blow through. Is that a sign it should be replaced? After all, isn’t a vent supposed to...vent?
Pro tip: do this in HOT weather to make filled through the extra long vent tube easier since there isn’t an accessible fill port.
