The issue with them is their lies are bringing them sales. It's false advertising. For example, my Tesla friends were all "Your EV6 GT is rated at 206mi, that's pitiful", when in reality I get about 240mi out of it driving it normally, on my daily commute. Meanwhile their 303mi rated MYP is delivering about 260mi real world range, lol!

At 75mph on flat ground, I am getting 2.5mi/kwh. Ends up shaking out to around 180mi full charge. If the world weere perfectly flat and you never changed speed. In reality, on road trips at "75mph", I more regularly see about 2.7-2.9mi/kwh.
I get it but that won’t work at my usage unfortunately. I get that Tesla doesn’t meet their numbers on average, but the Tesla chargers are where I need them to use the car the way I want to. I’d never make it to the charger on the return trip if you’re doing 180 miles at 75 mph and crunch time is in the initial call. I don’t have to hurry on the return trip. I’ll possibly be late if I have to charge on the way there. I’d still make a 50kW charger on the return trip, but that drastically increases my return travel time.

I have no idea. Unless I need a part for my E-150 and I can't get it anywhere I won't set foot on a Ford lot. From the article it looks like the small dealers are getting the shaft, or already got the shaft with the EV push.
Yeah I haven’t been in there since I had a Ford, I just always see something plugged in next to the building when I drive by. They have a number of EVs on their lot last time I went by. A Lightning and 3-4 Mach-Es.
I'll look next time I'm near the local Ford dealer. This one is a small Mom and Pop operation probably established in the early 1950's. They were always high priced and didn't negotiate much, if at all. They went with a low volume high gross mentality, that alone kept me away. LOL
3 big gas stations in this area have large diesel generators, when the power goes out they can still pump gas. Going green has backfired in every thing they have tried it on and we have all experienced it most of the time without realizing it. The most common one that comes to mind is RoHS compliment electronics from lead free solder joints.
Ford cuts 2024 F-150 Lightning production in half. I rode by the small town local dealer the other day to see if any 2024 Rangers were in yet. I saw a few Lightnings on the used lot.

A significant amount of the population will not be buying EVs as a primary vehicle.
I think all automakers are starting to understand that.
It’s a new field. It takes time to figure out the market and adjustments to be made.
Not to mention some products are just cost prohibitive.
You would think if they're losing as much money on every one as they're saying, they would stop making them altogether. Manufacturing a product to lose money has never made much sense in the business world.
