FORD H6BG-6714-BA Cut Open

I have for your amusement a FORD H6BG-6714-BA oil filter dissection. This is the engine OEM oil filter off of my recently purchased 2026 Ford Maverick Hybrid with the Atkinson 2.5L Mazda derived engine. Filter was only in service for approximately 500 ish vehicle miles and about 375 miles on motor before the factory 0W-20 oil and this filter was replaced with a Motorcraft FL-400S oil filter and Quaker State All Mileage 5W-20 oil.

Filter appears to be a MAHLE designed filter. While no country of origin is mentioned on the oil filter, I would wager it is Mexico as that is where the engine is made also. Filter seems well constructed with nice even pleats over most of the filter circumference. This filter is about half the size of the FL-910S replacement filter called out in the manual.

I believe the topic filter is made by Mann (Euro). The inlet hole design and white silicone adbv are Euro Mann signs. Also Google AI notes that some Maverick owners indicate the Mann W 7015 to be same as factory filter, rebadged for Ford. Same filter application also c&p here off a 2022 Escape. Anyway filter looks well made. Congrats on the new ride.

That looks about the size of a typical Briggs & Stratton filter.
