Ford recently released a "most popular features" version of the F-150 Lightning in a trim they've dubbed "Flash":
What is the F-150 Lightning® Flash? (ford.ca)

We recently had one show up at our local Ford dealership and my wife, complaining about spending $600/month on gas, wanted to look at it, so we did (after hours creeper style so we didn't have to deal with a salesman).

I posted this in another thread, but this is the price, yikes!

Interesting to note that it's discounted from MSRP though

It's equipped very similarly to our RAM 1500, at about twice the price, and the RAM interior is nicer, with more back seat space.

That said, it's still an appealing truck, other than the price. The EV stuff is very reminiscent of the Mach-e we spent some considerable time with, so it's not foreign.

It has a 131kWh battery and 580HP, so I'm sure it's faster than the RAM. Claimed range is 515km, which is 200 more than my e-tron was.

Very nice looking machine for sure. Impressive looking cabin set up and everything about it is appealing except for the King's ransom they want to take from a buyer! Ouch. I know it costs money to get from the drawing board to the dealer's lot but WoW!

I don't like the interior or that big laptop screen plopped in the middle of the dash. It looks to me like Ford once again dropped the ball, that seems to be the trend for them. I see deep discounts to get rid of them before they become classics sitting on the lot. JMO.

Just so you are all aware that's Canadian pricing. That truck equals to about $65,000 USD. So, expensive, but not out of the realm for trucks.

Eighty-eight thousand PLUS the governments profit sure does buy a lot of gasoline.

Flash is the replacement for the XLT Extended Range from my understanding. The 2023 I was looking at still had the regular F150 touch screen, but otherwise the same cloth interior.

I’m still waiting on the dealer to come to their senses considering they’re sitting on a ‘23. I may still buy it if they shoot me a good price on it. It was listed at $75k for the XLT Extended Range. They were at $56.9k, but there have been people getting this exact spec for $52k. I can’t believe the listed price went up on the new model with the sales issues.

Yep that makes more sense now.

okay...pardon my ignorance of Canadian things....What the HECK is that $100 "Air Tax"?

with a little careful googling, I found this...which just seems crazy to me....

You can be wealthy and drive a nice truck. Or you can have a moderate income, drive a nice truck, and stay in the middle class forever. The choice is yours.

Am I the only one that finds the styling awful? The very thick LED strip light looks dated, seems a thinner crisp LED would be more modern. and like the others have said, the inside looks dated and then they stick that screen in that is about twice the size it should be IMO.

Whole thing seems kinda wack.

I personally don't mind the external appearance, but agree with you on the interior. It's still nicer than a Tesla though, lol.

I thought of tinting it if I buy the truck. It’s a bit too plastic-y looking to me in daylight.
