Hey there gents, quick question... 2004 Escape 3.0 V6, appears that the seal/gasket is leaking from the camshaft output shaft that runs the waterpump.

Best I can find is the Fel Pro TCS 45966, which appears correct... if anyone has any knowledge to point my simpleton self in the correct direction. TIA.

Looks like you can also use Mahle GS44337, although I think Mahle has very recently taken a dive in quality. Still, I'd take it over FailPro

Thanks guys!! I'll assess once I dig in. Worst case Ontario, I'll reseal the current gasket and toss in a new cam seal. Rock lists a timken, which I can likely get local. Heck, I might even.... cringe.... call the ford dealer....... the same ones that can turn a basic "put new tires on" into close to a two week, multiple trip scenario.

That's disappointing. I remember buying Mahle pistons for my Opel 1900 back in the 70s they were made like jewels.

@bdcardinal thanks! I forgot to bring a pick or awl with me to see if mine is the metal retainer. Its hard to tell but the actual cam seal doesn't appear to be the cause. Regardless, if im digging in, it will all get done.
