Ford Ecosport

The ones sold in the US are made in India, the VINs begin with "M".

I got a bunch of Transit Connects in at work, they were made in Spain. So weird to see a VIN that starts with an N.

As for the Ecosport, I had one as a rental last year and it seemed just fine. Not my cup of tea but my impression is that it was a decent vehicle. Took me a few minutes to find the handle to open the back hatch - let's just say they did a really good job of "integrating" it.

At first they were all made in Turkey, also with the VIN beginning in NM. We had a 2010 for a part van and literally ran it into the ground. Now we have a 16/17, I forget, Transit that we are in the process of driving into the ground.

Got one for a rental last week. A 2020 with the 4 cylinder. Drove 140 miles, mostly highway. Found it quite pleasant overall with a smooth comfortable ride with good interior room for such a small vehicle. The fit and finish including the materials looked and felt high end. Liked the blind side alert that turns on a light in the mirrors when there is a car to your side out of your view. Loved the stop start system that shuts off the engine at a stop light so you sit in smooth silence without using any gas. Why can't all cars do that? The only negative I could say about it would be the touch-screen. It looks like somebody stuck a tablet on the dash. It's too far rearward and not angled towards the driver. You almost have to lean over to get a good look at it.
