Anyway, I wouldn't worry about if it can flow enough oil or not for your engine base on the reasons given earlier. If you want to use a full synthetic media filter instead (which might flow a bit better than cellulose media), go with the FRAM Ultra XG7317 ($9 at Walmart), which crosses over to the Purolator 14610. I'm running an XG7317 now on my V6 Altima, and have used PL14610 in the past. No issues with either one.


Heard so many negative things about Fram, it kind of scared me off. Is Fram Ultra the one with the additives in it?


No, the FRAM Ultra is the one with full synthetic media, metal end caps, 99% @ 20 microns efficiency and good for 15,000 mile OCIs. All for $9 at Walmart ... can't get much better IMO.
