My Mother's basement.
I think I got my money's worth out of it.
Spent countless hours on a float charger. Always load tested good. Kind of it to fail in the garage.

My Everstart MAXX are still going strong, they are from 2018 I believe Group 24F and Group 75 they never been float charged or trickle charged, etc.

Getting 7 years out of a 3 year tier walmart battey is great. I take it this is a picture from when you installed it but not when it died. Looks brand new not 7 years used. I wonder how a everstart 1 or 2 year would fare.

I had a cigarette lighter volt meter plugged in the last three weeks. I don't think that could have dragged it down.
Tempted to charge overnight and test next weekend.

I've never had any battery look that clean and new. normally the sticker starts to crack and begin to peel but mine are out in the Texas summer all day so in a garage in cooler climates maybe not.

I just replaced this Lexus branded battery last month with a date code of 4/17. It still cranked the engine over fine but after 81/2 years, I knew it was time. I credit its longevity with being hooked to my old Schumacher 1.5 battery maintainer every couple of weeks for a couple of days and being garaged all its life.

Have you ever topped up the cells?
If not, I'd suggest trying that (with a charge) to see how much additional life you get out of it.

I have a battery nearing 10 years of age which is only now starting to show signs of age (slower cranks after sitting for 2 - 3 weeks).
At about the 6 year mark I topped up the cells, never added a drop since.

What is the battery tester reading on it now? Do you own a battery charger with a desulfation stage on it?
I was able to bring back two batteries this year that were clearly declining and now test at their CCA rating.

I am still using the original battery in a 2017Jetta. I think I will run it until it fails. Just replaced a lawn tractor battery installed in 2011, no cap.

Topping off FLA batteries are always on my to do list, usually 1X a year. Also, they are always connected to a maintainer due to parasitic draws from vehicle computer's. Use a maintainer with an automatic de-sulfation action to it. Sometimes, I'll get 10 years out of them, but average about 8.5 years.

Never needed to be topped up.

I don't own a desulfating charger.
I put an old school six amp on it for about an hour and tested it, was at about nine or so volts.
Bought a new three year warranty Everstart the next day.
Stopped at the new O'Reilly first. Helpful counter guy told me I'd be lucky to get three months out of an Everstart battery. I hadn't mentioned Walmart at all so I do not know where that came from. I couldn't find any country of origin sticker on the O'Reilly battery. So across the street I went. And paid $65 less.

Should have asked him to prove it to you by price matching WM.
I have been told that some OR locations will do that.
