IMO, MC Filters might be the best buy for the buck in low-priced filters.

With a clean engine, the MC's should be able to do 7500 OCI's

Verified with Ford and Mobil, and after that ran this filter for 15k miles for over a million miles when I owned my towncar business. In fact, an Exxon engineer advised to keep this one, when I called and asked why their database listed this filter instead of M1-210. Mine was mostly highway miles operation though..

Our Crown Vic has used this oil filter for every oil change. It currently has 290,000 miles and never an issue.

I do 10K OCIs with MC filters. Never a problem.

they have to everyone sees them..For years some oil filter companies hid in the can where few bothered to cut them open and even if they found something bad who would know today there is the internet and now everyone knows.. Im sure the oil filter companies don't like that..lol

'In my observation' on this board even including ecotec cartridges squished/twisted from many different brands (mostly aesthetics), the two cartridge anecdotes linked, worst complete fails I've seen posted. That would as compared to the spin ons from same manufacturer, which was the assertion. Coincidence?
