My Hein-Warner Jack, owned for nearly 20 years. Never was a huge fan of the casters, because on the nut side of the unit (long bolts running through the body), the caster wouldn’t turn all the way.
But I’ve dealt with it for 20 years. Recently it got really bad. I think my wife clunked this one into another jack I have. That’s all I can guess. It’s the bearings, they’re screwed up.
You can see the balls go 1.5-2 wide in the track and then jam. Can bend that upper cap and get them to stay in line, or what do I need to do in order to fix them?
I think the replacement casters are plastic, not metal. No thanks. Unfortunately I don’t recall which model this is to find parts. It’s a painted blue metal wheel.
Is this fixable? Bend it and spray some grease in there??
